Truck and Trailer Equipment Technician (Deforest)-Sign-On Bonus up to $10,000!

Convenience Transportation, LLC, a subsidiary of Kwik Trip, Inc., operates two Truck Maintenance Shops. One in La Crosse, WI and the other in Deforest, WI. These facilities service a modern fleet which includes: 350 Power units that run 35 million miles per year, 299 Reefer trailers, 176 Petroleum tankers, 450 company automobiles as well as provides work for external fleets. Our state-of-the-art Shops are equipped with washing facilities, truck hoists and can facilitate tankers and trailers. 

We are currently looking for additional Technicians to service and maintain our Fleet that operates 24/7/365

• Qualifications: 
  
  
  
  • Diesel / Heavy Equipment Maintenance degree or 2 plus years of relevant work experience
  
  
  • Possess class A CDL or the ability to obtain one
  
  
  • Ability to supply your own hand tools
  
  
  • High level of customer service
  
  
  • Accurate / detail orientated
  
  
  • Basic math aptitude
  
  
  • Read / understand / interpret numbers
  
  
  • Read / follow directions
  
  
  • Work well alone and as part of team
  
  
  • Work with minimal supervision
  
  
  • Work in a noisy environment
  
  
  • Work in a variety of environmental conditions occasionally
  
  
  • Work in a safety conscious environment
  
  
  • Prior experience with refrigerant recovery, confined space training or tanker regulations is a plus
  
  
  • Thermo King / Carrier experience is also a plus
  
  
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  
  
  • Candidate must be willing to live in close proximity to Madison, WI
  
  
  
  


• Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  
  
  
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections on semi-tractors / trailers
  
  
  • General maintenance of equipment and component replacement
  
  
  
  


• Physical qualifications:
  
  
  
  • Stand / walk up to 12 hours per shift; bend / reach / twist / stoop frequently; lift / carry 100 pounds to waist level occasionally; push / pull 100 pounds of force.
