Truck Body Mechanic / Fabricator
Westminster, MD | RMS Truck Bodies (All Roads)
 
RMS Truck Bodies is expanding our team! If you’re an experienced mechanic, technician, or fabricator—or eager to train and grow—this is your chance to work with hydraulic systems on custom truck bodies in a supportive, team-driven shop that values safety, skill, and career growth.
 
Compensation & Schedule
  • 25/hr+ based on experience
  • Monday - Friday 7 am - 3:30 pm

Responsibilities
  • Install, plumb, and commission hydraulic equipment on truck bodies (pumps, valves, cylinders, PTOs)
  • Perform light welding/fabrication mounting and fit-up of equipment & accessories
  • Route hoses and wiring, perform basic 12V electrical hook ups and testing
  • Read/use build sheets, drawings and spec sheets. Verify parts and configurations
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic/mechanical issues and complete quality repairs
  • Follow shop safety procedures and maintain an organized work area
  • Accurately document work performed
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
High School diploma or GED
Valid driver's license
Mechanical aptitude, ability to use power tools
Preferred: experience with hydraulics, light welding/fabrication, or 12V electrical (will train the right candidate)
