Position Summary

T&K Asphalt Services, Inc. is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Vehicle & Equipment Detailer to help maintain the appearance, cleanliness, and overall condition of our fleet and equipment. This position plays an important role in ensuring company vehicles and equipment are clean, presentable, and properly maintained for safe and efficient operation. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and be able to work independently while adhering to all company safety standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean and detail vehicle and equipment interiors and exteriors in accordance with company standards.


• Operate buffers, steamers, pressure washers, hoses, vacuums, and other detailing equipment safely and effectively.


• Apply cleaning, protective, and restorative products to maintain and enhance the appearance of vehicles and equipment.


• Conduct routine inspections and maintain accurate records regarding the condition of vehicles and equipment.


• Report any damaged, defective, or malfunctioning parts and equipment to management.


• Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and assist with ordering and restocking materials as needed.


• Work closely with the Maintenance Department to identify potential vehicle and equipment issues.


• Coordinate with shop mechanics to help ensure vehicles and equipment remain in good working condition.


• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Valid driver's license required.


• Valid DOT Medical Card required.


• OSHA 10 certification required.


• Previous bodywork and painting experience is a plus.


• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.


• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.


• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.


• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and maneuver up to 80 pounds throughout the workday.


• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and sit for extended periods as required.

Working Conditions

• Work is performed both indoors and outdoors.


• Must be able to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow.


• Participation in snow operations is required.


• Must be available to work weekends and extended hours as business needs dictate.


• This position is subject to seasonal layoff periods based on company workload, scheduling demands, weather conditions, and overall business needs. Employment may be reduced or temporarily suspended during slower periods at the Company's discretion.
