We are seeking a motivated and experienced Crew Leader to join our growing team at Wakefield Moving & Storage. The Crew Leader is an experienced driver and leader that plays a critical role in managing day-to-day moving operations by supervising team members, coordinating logistics, and ensuring a high standard of service. You will be responsible for delegating tasks, training team members, resolving issues in real time, and serving as the communication bridge between employees and management.
The ideal candidate has prior experience in the moving, transportation, or logistics industry, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Assign tasks to crew members based on individual strengths and job requirements
Supervise moving crews on-site to ensure smooth and timely operations
Ensure quality of service by conducting regular checks during and after each job
Provide training and mentorship to new and existing crew members
Communicate effectively with customers and address any concerns professionally
Serve as the primary point of contact between the crew and management
Load, unload, and transport customer belongings safely and efficiently
Oversee proper use and care of moving equipment, tools, and company vehicles
Monitor job performance and provide feedback to support continuous improvement
Ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, and industry standards
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in moving, logistics, or related industry, including time as a straight truck driver
At least 2 years of supervisory or team lead experience preferred
Valid driver's license (CDL a plus, but not required)
Ability to lift 50-75 lbs and perform physical labor for extended periods
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours (including weekends)

Work Environment:
