Truck Driver, Medium

POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD

• Operates a straight truck with a gross vehicle weight between 1.5 to 4 tons (typically 6 wheels) to transport materials, merchandise, or equipment between locations.
• Ensures safe, timely, and efficient delivery while complying with all traffic laws, safety regulations, and procedures.
• Loads / unloads truck securing cargo properly.
• Performs vehicle inspections as necessary.
• Completes required paperwork, including delivery receipts, logs, maintenance reports.
• Performs basic vehicle maintenance and reports mechanical issues promplty.
• Follow all Department of Transportation regulations, safety protocols, and site-specific rules.
• May need to operate material handling equipment.
• Maintain a clean vehicle and safe driving record.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and supervisors via radio or phone.
• Need to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Minimum education: High school diploma or GED.
• Preferred education: Some vocational or commercial driving training.
• Experience: 1-2 years of commercial or truck driving experience.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Valid state Commercial Driver's License is preferred.
• Ability to read maps, follow directions, and use basic navigation tools.
• Good communication and record-keeping skills.
• Must have a successful background check and drug screening.
• Ability to obtain a Security Clearance.
