Truck Driver:

This position is for our routine maintenance crew and truck driver II is just the classification per the MSA for pay scale. Must have Class D driver license.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor, including, but not limited to lifting 25+ lbs., bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in the heat.


• Shovel bituminous concrete (asphalt) or other material into the construction area.


• Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards.


• Material handling and storage.


• Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials.


• Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Bring problems to the attention of the direct supervisor.


• Convoys tools, equipment and parts to the work area.


• Gathers tools and supplies to be used at the work site according to the instructions.


• Saw cut, demo and remove concrete via jack hammering or hand tools.


• Ability to use tools properly and safely.


• Safely operate Earth Moving equipment.


• Act as a spotter for moving equipment to prevent incidents and accidents.


• Assists in lifting, positioning or fastening objects.


• May disassemble defective equipment, replace worn or defective parts and reassemble equipment.


• Working knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in an industrial setting.


• Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.


• Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.


• Ability to communicate orally and in writing.


• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.


• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.


• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required for this Position:

Education – no minimum education requirements.

Experience – 3-5 years 

Certifications/License: valid Driver license
