Truss Builder

Timberland Lumber Company is looking for experienced Truss builders for Night Shift for our Truss Plant in Brazil, IN. Must be reliable with a good work ethic and reliable transportation. Must be willing to work outdoors.

Night Shift hours are from 4:30 PM to 1:00 AM.

Duties/Responsibilities included but not limited to:

• Operate equipment safely; wearing required PPE
• Attention to detail with correct length, angle, heel, and backcut
• Build trusses
• Use iPad to monitor jobs needed & communicate with fork truck operators to obtain proper lumber needed
• Moving and stacking trusses
• Must be able to recognize and troubleshoot errors; work with Maintenance to address/fix errors
• Work in a fast pace environment
• Responsible to maintain clean machine and work area
• Must be able to lift boards properly to avoid injury

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Experience operating a saw a plus (1-3 years preferred)
• Forklift experience a plus
• Basic math skills
• Prefer experience using hammer, speed square, staple gun, and tape measure
• Ability to lift up to 50-70 lbs.
• Standing for long periods of time
• Attention to detail
• Work in outdoor/indoor conditions
