Job Description - Truss Outside Sales

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a talented professional to help us elevate our customer experience to new heights.

As a Truss Salesperson, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, along with managing current accounts. You will serve as the primary point of contact for the customers you support, ensuring to meet and exceed their expectations. You will work closely with our design and production teams in addition to working as a liaison between builders, customers, subcontractors, and other sales staff.

Key Responsibilities

· Identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting and engaging with potential customers.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.

· Understand customers' needs and goals, and proactively provide customized truss solutions to meet their requirements.

· Collaborate with internal teams, including design and production, to ensure seamless execution of projects and delivery of products.

· Visit jobsites to assure contractors have the necessary materials and to help as needed.

· Execution of detailed monthly sales and gross profit goals.

· Maintain high level of customer service through organization of tasks and responsibilities.

· Monitor and communicate on the status of customer jobs and accounts through the building process.


Requirements

· Experience in outside sales within the construction or industrial industries.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with diverse stakeholders.

· Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of customers, verbally and written.

· Strong problem-solving abilities and a results-driven mindset.

· Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Knowledge of truss systems and construction processes is highly desirable.

· Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Experience

· Knowledge of Microsoft office, BizTrack and IOS applications.

· Demonstrate the ability to resolve conflict or manage difficult conversations.
