Flanagan, Barone & O’Brien, LLC (“FBO”) is a successful, growing firm which embraces diversity in seeking to build a strong team of professionals. FBO is currently seeking a senior trusts and estates paralegal with 7+ years of experience. The position provides the opportunity to work both independently and as part of our strong litigation team.
Responsibilities:
- Administration of trusts and estates including probate of wills, inventory of assets and valuations, preparation of estate and inheritance tax returns, refunding bonds
- Preparation of estate planning documents including wills and trusts
- Managing of all aspects of real estate closings, including ability to review and draft real estate transaction documents and prepare matter for closing
Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree; paralegal certificate preferred
- 7+ years’ experience as a trusts and estates paralegal involving estate planning as well as administration of trusts and estates
- Experience handling varied aspects of trusts and estates
- Experience handling real estate closings
- Experience with preparing records, assembling exhibits, pleadings, discovery and trial preparation
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Clear and effective communication skills both oral and written
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Word; EXCEL; GEMS estate tax software desirable
- Must be able to work independently and be proactive
- Must be able to multitask and successfully manage a variety of demands daily
- Ability to integrate into a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Ability to maintain/enter billable time
