Summary


Join a highly respected, collaborative law firm where you'll take on substantive trusts and estates work while continuing to grow your expertise alongside an experienced legal team. This role offers hands-on responsibility across estate planning, probate, and trust administration, with direct client interaction and meaningful opportunities for professional development and mentorship.


 


What You'll Do


  • Draft basic estate planning documents and related materials.

  • Prepare probate filings and court documents.

  • Support trust administration, funding, and estate matters.

  • Conduct asset inventories and organize financial information.

  • Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, and financial institutions.

  • Prepare and electronically file legal documents.

  • Conduct legal and case-related research.

  • Maintain accurate client files, records, and correspondence.

  • Manage substantive billable work toward a 1,400-hour annual target.



 


What You'll Need


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

  • 2–5 years of directly related Trusts & Estate Planning paralegal experience.

  • Working knowledge of state probate rules and procedures.

  • Working knowledge of federal estate tax regulations.

  • Strong understanding of legal terminology and its practical application.

  • Experience preparing and filing legal documents, including e-filing.

  • Strong Microsoft Office and legal software skills.

  • Exceptional organization, prioritization, and attention to detail.

  • Strong written, verbal, and client communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment.



 


What Would Be a Plus


  • Paralegal certification.

  • Broader experience across estate planning, probate, and trust administration.

  • Experience communicating directly with beneficiaries and financial institutions.
