The Role
We are seeking a hardworking, detail-oriented Turf Installer to join our crew. You will be responsible for transforming outdoor spaces by installing high-quality synthetic turf for residential and commercial clients. This is a physically demanding role that requires stamina, precision, and the ability to work in various weather conditions.

What You’ll Do

• Base Installation: Spread, level, and compact crushed stone or base materials to create a stable foundation.


• Turf Fitting: Measure, layout, and cut synthetic turf with precision using razor knives and specialized tools.


• Seaming & Finishing: Use seam tape, glue, or specialized chisels to create invisible joins; secure turf edges with nails or spikes.


• Infill & Grooming: Spread infill material (like sand or rubber) and use power brooms to groom the fibers for a natural look.


• Equipment Operation: Safely operate power tools such as sod cutters, plate compactors, and blowers


• Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

• 1-3 years of experience in professional turf installation or landscaping - Golf or Sports Turf, preferred.


• A "details matter" mindset and the ability to lead a team through early mornings and changing weather. 


• Demonstrate reliability, responsibility, and cooperation in team settings.


• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.


• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project plans.


• Reliable, accountable, and collaborative team player mentality.


• Willingness to work early mornings, extended hours, and in varying weather conditions.

Requirements

• Ability to pass post-offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing in accordance with SCG Fields’ drug-free workplace policy.


• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from job sites.


• Willingness and ability to travel extensively; per diem provided.


• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work, including lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 80 lbs.
