TWL Lead

The Total Warehouse Logistics Lead is responsible for initiatives to ensure staff proficiency in utilizing TWL technology effectively. This includes, but is not limited to, educating employees on the operational use of TWL technology, based on best practices and industry standards. This position is responsible for optimizing and enhancing operational efficiency by optimizing the training of the location's personnel. Collaborate with cross-functional and individual teams to identify and resolve all TWL transactional challenges. Monitor and analyze TWL performance, making recommendations for continuous improvement. 

Key Responsibilities

TWL Technology Utilization Training

• Ensure that all existing and new employees are adequately and proficiently trained to utilize TWL confidently in doing their day-to-day duties.

• Review with every employee any utilization challenges or issues and provide timely resolution.
• Ensure that lack of timely resolution does not impact operational efficiency.
• Report any TWL transactional issue that remains unresolved by the TWL lead to the IT department.
• TWL Housekeeping and Operations Optimization
• Review the Warehouse Transaction Inquiry (WLIT) daily and ensure all transaction errors are resolved to enable processing by the end of business.
• Identify and resolve TWL Order Manager exceptions record and the root cause.
• Ensure that all Order Manager exception types are reviewed daily.
• All orders in the loaded stage must be reviewed daily and shipped by the EOD.
• Inform the Inventory Lead of any inventory issues triggering the exception record for prompt resolution.
• Notify the Manager of any process-related issue for corrective actions.
• Ensure the scheduled run time of the WL reports (WLER, WLEBS, WLEBA, WLRB) set up by the Information System Manager is consistently maintained.
• The TWL inventory balancing report (WLRB) must be reviewed daily, and any inventory-related cause must be resolved by the TWL lead. Please notify the inventory leader of any unusual adjustment resulting from that.
• Review the daily EOD TWL inventory discrepancy record. Provide a solution for zero negative inventory and notify the Inventory lead of any existing records that require cycle count
• Review the active receipt screen and notify the Manager of any pending order in the active stage.
• Review and resolve all orders on the order mismatched report
• Ensure that there are no unshipped Cartons by the end of the business day. Notify the Manager if any issues arise.
• Monitor the put-away in docks and notify the Manager daily of the number of orders and lines waiting to be put away.

Equipment Maintenance

• Ensure all employees have functional TWL active account
• Notify the Manager and IT department of any need to create a new TWL account.
• It is the responsibility of TWL to ensure that all employees have functional RF guns available to them.
• Inform the Manager if there is a need for RF guns or if the ones available aren’t functional
• Ensure that all TWL hardware, including printers, always remains operational.
• Check the hip printers to ensure they are always functional for generating product labels.
• Recommend to the Manager any equipment enhancement or process upgrade that will drive operational efficiency.

Warehouse Function Support

• Required to be present on the warehouse floor for support of all potential TWL support.
• Timely attend to employee radio request.
• Required to assist in warehouse inventory cycle count as needed by the Manager
• Assisting with inventory top off, stock movement, and bin location maintenance as needed by the Manager or Assistant Manager.

Additional responsibility

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Preferred experience with Total Warehouse logistics
• 3+ years of experience in Distribution operations and inventory control
• Good understanding of inventory management and operations is an added advantage
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills are required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and any ERP software.
• Experience with CSD ERP is a plus.
• Problem-solving skills
• Must be forklift-certified

Work Environment

• The TWL Lead works a standard work week, including some after-hours or weekends. The working environment ranges from office settings to warehouses, so dress standards are adjusted accordingly to the work environment.
• The working conditions are typical of a warehouse environment.
• The Manager should expect to work alongside their employees to assist with moving material, which involves frequently standing and lifting materials and products up to 50 pounds.
• Forklift operation and the use of safety equipment, including, but not limited to, eye safety glasses, work boots, and gloves as required.
• Need to be able to withstand hot and cold work environments.
• Some after-hours work may be required.
