Serves as trainer for NSW commands and detachments as approved by NSWC N37. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing, implementing, and executing mission qualification training on NSW UAS platforms.
Essential Job Functions:
Development, implementation, and instruction of Expeditionary Organic Tactical Airborne Intelligence and Reconnaissance Capability Set (EOTACS) platforms.
Shall serve as the primary integrator of the EOTACS capability throughout the Inter-Deployment Training Cycle (IDTC).
Shall ensure execution under NSWC and US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) UAS Policy and strategy and work directly under the auspices of the NSWC N37 Officer
Other Job Functions:
Develop, implement, and instruct EOTACS MQT curriculum
Plan and facilitate EOTACS training event requirements to include proper airspace and range access
Strategize with NSW EOTACS team to determine needs and shortfalls within the EOTACS capability across the IDTC
Collaborate to maintain continuity and establish minimum training standards through the MQT syllabus
Highlight the utilization and efficacy of the EOTACS capability captured in event After Action Reports (ARR's) as well as flight hours logging through the Sierra Hotel Aviation Readiness Program (SHARP) and share with the EOTACS NSWC managers
Ensure proper SHARP logging following the completion of UAS training and events
Assist in operational checks and software updates of EOTACS inventory to include initial receipt of equipment from vendor, NSWC, or Special Operations Forces Support Activity (SOFSA) as well as during equipment turn-in from end users
Assist in the maintenance of NSW UAS systems and perform operational level repairs as needed or as directed by USSOCOM endorsed Operational Advisories and Service Bulletins
Assist NSW commands in ensuring UAS currency and qualification standards are met as defined in the USSOCOM 350-9 and CNSWC 3710.1A
Support NSW EOTACS Research Development Testing and Evaluation (RDT&E) events and efforts at the discretion of NSWC N87 and N37
Coordinate vendor-provided mobile Initial Qualification Training (IQT) support as needed via NSWC N37 UAS Officer
At all times be prepared to support IQT for all groups, as requested or required
Provide course critiques following each COI
Other NSW UAS training support as required
Update equipment software as necessary
Obtain authorization to maintain and drive government-owned vehicles, as required
Writing technical reports, summaries, briefings, and presentations as required
Monthly flight hour report delineated by Type/Model/Series UAS

Requirements
Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills:
UAS Instructor for at least one Group 1 UAS employed by Special Operations Forces (SOF)
UAS Operator for at least one UAS employed by SOF
At least three years’ experience working with SOF UAS
Ability to write clear and concise reports
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret or Top Secret security clearance
Experience E-5 to E-9 with qualified experience as a SUAS operator
Eight years of active duty military experience
NSW familiarity
Deployment familiarity
Experienced E-6 to E-9 with qualified experience as a SUAS operator (desired)
Eight years as an NSW Operator (SEAL or SWCC) (desired)
One NSW tour of duty at an NSW Training Detachment (desired)
Two NSW deployments (desired)
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to learn and apply new information and/or skills.
Must be able to interpret data, information, and documents.
Occasionally will need to lift/and or move up to 20 lbs.
Moderate environment temperature and noise level.
Travel shall be performed as necessary in support of the requirements of this tasking. Occasional travel to various training areas for mobile training teams will be required. No OCONUS travel will be required.
