Summary 

A painter will be expected to perform duties including but not limited to loading and preparing all cabinet types for paint, spraying the proper coating thickness of paint to cabinets, and properly unloading and labeling cabinets in preparation for Component Installation. 

This is a 2nd shift role, 3:30pm - 2am.

Responsibilities 

• Load and unload cabinets from the gantry system both manually and with the lifting system. 


• Clean, repair, and maintain painting equipment and work area. 


• Clean and prepare cabinets for paint. 


• Properly label and install correct lifting hardware once the cabinet is painted. 


• Successfully execute the start-up and shutdown procedures of the paint booth oven. 


• Properly mix paint per supplier/manufacturer Technical Data Sheet. 


• Demonstrate a constant awareness of safety issues, using equipment correctly, and reporting any hazardous conditions or unsafe behaviors to the appropriate Supervisor or Group Lead immediately.  


• Perform all job-related tasks using Pyro (clock-in/out, control plan, inspection reports). 


• Inspect for and report any material, supply or engineering defects discovered in process, using the Pyro Defect Reporting application, and verbal communication with the appropriate Supervisor or Group Lead, and take Corrective Action as directed. 


• Other duties as required 

Required Qualifications/Skills: 

• Be able to read and interpret blueprints and other technical engineering documents provided.  


• Be able to read, comprehend and follow written work instructions and plans. 


• Operate Windows, OS2 computers, and mobile devices and use the appropriate authorized business applications, including PYRO, Outlook, Word, Excel, and other systems as assigned. 


• Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a team environment.   


• Demonstrate flexibility with work schedule and assignments to meet production demand.   


• Demonstrate a constant awareness of safety issues, using equipment correctly, and reporting any hazardous conditions or unsafe behaviors to the appropriate Supervisor or Group Lead immediately.  


• Maintain all required training, qualifications and certifications as required. To include, but not limited to: required Environmental, Health and Safety Training, Job Training Qualifications, additional technical or skill specific Certifications as outlined in the appropriate Work Center Work Instructions.
