UG Utilities Specialist

McCall Thomas Engineering Company, Inc. is seeking an Underground Utilities Specialist to work on our team. Travel will be required M-F.

Job Location: The McCall-Thomas Engineering home office is in Orangeburg, SC. Our current work is primarily in SC and NC. Travel required,

Work schedule:  Monday-Friday.

McCall-Thomas Engineering is a multi-faceted engineering firm housing multiple divisions including the Communications Engineering Division, the Electrical Engineering Division, the Electric Utility Services Division, the Electric Field Operations & UAS, as well as the McT Learning Center and Print Services.

Primary responsibilities for this role:

• digging and setting hand holds


• spotting utilities (locates)


• pulling fiber and conduit


• representing McCall-Thomas Engineering positively and professionally

What Will You Need:

• Eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship (required)


• 2+ years of related utility experience 


• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record


• Strong understanding of safety practices and procedures
  

Preferred qualifications:

• OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certificates


• Flagging certification


• CDL


• CPR certification
