UI/UX Specialist

We currently have a vacancy for a UI/UX Specialist fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Valletta, Malta. The work will be carried out either in the companys premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major clients IT team on site

Your tasks

• Facilitate UX design workshops and assess application design requirements;
• Develop and present design concepts using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps;
• Design intuitive and visually appealing UI for implementation by development teams;
• Analyze and develop comprehensive user flows to enhance usability;
• Conduct evaluations of user interfaces to ensure quality and effectiveness;
• Assist in testing user interfaces to verify functionality and alignment with design specifications;
• Contribute to the deployment process of user interface designs;
• Produce and maintain detailed UI documentation;
• Participate in the design analysis of new features, bug fixes, and application enhancements;
• Identify, test, and resolve technical, usability, and accessibility issues in accordance with accessibility standards;
• Ensure a consistent look and feel across all applications;
• Create and maintain reusable UI components and design systems for developers;
• Ensure all designs comply with privacy regulations, legal requirements, corporate branding guidelines, and accessibility standards.

Requirements

• University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with a minimum of 6 years of relevant working experience in IT;
• Experience with UI/UX design tools;
• Experience with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and resolving accessibility issues;
• Experience with creating and maintaining UI documentation and design specifications;
• Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript;
• Good knowledge of creating wireframes, storyboards, sitemaps, and user flows;
• Good knowledge of usability testing methods and interface evaluation;
• Good knowledge of privacy, legal, and corporate identity standards related to UI design;
• Excellent command of the English language.
