Ultrasound Tech-Multi Reg/PRN-Support

1. Performs US procedures of diagnostic quality as ordered by the referring physician and/or radiologist on patients of all ages according to established protocols and evaluates Ultrasound studies for technical image quality. 2. Obtains clinical history and data for correlation with the US procedure. 3. Performs daily and weekly QC as required. 4. Practices sterile technique as required. 5. Assists Radiologist in special procedures and in performing medical treatment during emergency situations. 6. Coordinates patient care with other areas in order to optimize patient time and satisfaction 7. Assesses learning needs and educates patients/families regarding procedures based on individual needs. § Type of degree: Allied Health § Area of study or major: Ultrasonography 308-Lcnsd Radiologic Technologist AA-Associate's Degree § Preferred educational qualifications: Associate degree or graduate of an accredited program Preferred experience: 2 years of experience in Ultrasound § Proficient in performing diagnostic procedures and obtaining diagnostic images for physician interpretation § Proficient in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) § Proficient in Radiology Information System (RIS) and Image Storage § Advanced US applications § Minimum of two registries in practiced specialties are required as approved by ARDMS: Abdomen, OB/GYN, Vascular Technology, Echo, muscular skeletal, Neurosonology, Breast § Active member of ARDMS
