Works under their scope of practice and in accordance with registry in the operation of equipment. Coordinates patient flow and the activities of the Ultrasound Department. Supervises FTEs: No Number of FTEs Supervised: N/A Exercises full management authority including performance reviews, discipline, termination and personnel hiring No Annual Revenue in Dollars: N/A Annual Expense in Dollars: N/A Preferred experience: 2 years of experience in Ultrasound ▪Maintains compliance with organization's policies, as well as established practices, protocols, and procedures of the position, department, and applicable professional standards. ▪Complies with organizational and regulatory policies for handling confidential patient information. ▪Demonstrates excellent customer service through his/her attitude and actions, consistent with the standards contained in the Vision, Mission, and Values of the organization. ▪Adheres to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and TJC standards and/or standards from other accrediting bodies. 1.Performs US procedures of diagnostic quality as ordered by the referring physician and/or radiologist on patients of all ages according to established protocols and evaluates Ultrasound studies for technical image quality. 2.Obtains clinical history and data for correlation with the US procedure. 3.Performs daily and weekly QC as required. 4.Practices sterile technique as required. 5.Assists Radiologist in special procedures and in performing medical treatment during emergency situations. 6.Coordinates patient care with other areas in order to optimize patient time and satisfaction 7.Assesses learning needs and educates patients/families regarding procedures based on individual needs.
