Ultrasound Technologist - General

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations, ensuring high-quality imaging while providing excellent patient care. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.

Duties

• Perform ultrasound examinations on patients, including but not limited to Ob/Gyn procedures.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.
• Utilize aseptic techniques while conducting procedures to maintain a sterile environment.
• Analyze images for quality and accuracy, ensuring they meet diagnostic standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare staff to discuss findings and assist in diagnosis.
• Maintain accurate records of patient information and examination results in compliance with medical protocols.
• Stay updated on advancements in sonography technology and techniques to enhance diagnostic capabilities.

Requirements

• Certs: ARDMS, ARDMS AB, BLS
• Years of Experience: 2 year(s)
• Proven experience as an Ultrasonographer or similar role in a clinical setting.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to diagnostic radiology.
• Familiarity with Ob/Gyn ultrasound procedures is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.
• Ability to demonstrate patient care skills with empathy and professionalism.
• Proficiency in using ultrasound equipment and interpreting sonographic images.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and safety protocols within a medical environment.

• Will position float between units: No
• Is on-call required? Yes 1-2 nights per week
• Are weekends required? Yes occasional weekend coverage
• Are block schedules required? Yes
• What are expected ratios? 1:1
