Ultrasound Technologist II - Diagnostic Imaging

Position Highlights:
Location: Edward Hospital, Naperville IL
Full Time/Part Time: Per Diem
Hours: As needed weekdays and weekends, typically 10 hour shifts
Weekends: Every other weekend, 11:30am to 10:00pm
Floating Locations: Will float to Plainfield and Bolingbrook sites
Holiday: 1-2 shifts per year
What you will need: High School Diploma or GED
Certified or proof of eligibility for certification (i.e., letter of eligibility issued by accredited school) by ARRT (S)(American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Sonography) or ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography)
Must be certified and currently registered as RDMS (OB or AB), RT(S), RT (VS), RVT, or RVS within twenty-four months of eligibility or 6 months of start date into position.
Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association
Preferred Education, Skills and/or Experience: A minimum of an Associate's Degree or higher
Vascular experience
Breast experience
General Abdomen experience
OB/GYN experience
MSK experience
Pediatric experience
What you will do:

Under general supervision, using ultrasound equipment produces two-dimensional ultrasound images of internal organs for use by Radiologists in the diagnosis of disease and the study of malfunction of organs. Delivers and ensures customer service in all aspects to job. Explains procedure to patient, giving opportunity for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust.
