Job Title: Unarmed Security Guard

Full-Time Hourly - Four ten-hour days 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Unarmed Security Guard to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our customers' premises, assets, and personnel. The Unarmed Security Guard will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling the assigned area, detecting and reporting suspicious activities, and possibly detaining persons suspected of criminal activity until law enforcement arrives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol and monitor the assigned area to detect and prevent criminal activity

• Operate X-ray and Metal Detection equipment to ensure the safety of the premises

• Monitor surveillance cameras, inspect property, and monitor crowds

• Contact law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency

• Check doors, windows, and gates to ensure the property is secure after business hours

• Investigate reports of suspicious activity on the property

• Reasonably detain persons suspected of criminal activity until law enforcement arrives

• Escort discharged staff, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Proven work experience as an Unarmed Security Guard

• Ability to operate X-ray and Metal Detection equipment

• Knowledge of surveillance systems and procedures

• Ability to detect and prevent criminal activity

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
