DeBordieu Colony is a Private Oceanside Gated Community and wildlife preserve located between Pawleys Island and Georgetown. The community covers approximately 2,400 acres, comprised of single-family homes, condominium developments, commercial facilities, and recreational facilities. Architecture integrity and design, maintenance of roads and common areas, security, exquisite amenities, and natural beauty are integral components of the DeBordieu Colony experience.

We are currently seeking a Security Officer to become an integral part of our team. The selected individual will patrol and secure assigned premises as well as identify risks to staff and patrons. 

Responsibilities include:

• Patrolling the community to ensure resident and guest safety, prevent theft, and document violations of HOA rules and regulations;
• Ensure that speed limits and other SC traffic laws are enforced on community roadways;
• Must possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional manner.
• Must be able to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines
• Warn or cite those who violate HOA rules and regulations;
• Report any fire hazards or water leaks on the property;
• Provide professional response to alarms, member complaints, and other service requests;
• Maintain a rotation of duty at the Security Gate including issuing passes, answering telephone calls, and dispatching Officers to calls as needed.

Requirements

• Pre-Employment Drug Testing/Screening;

• Valid South Carolina Driver's License;
• Clean Driver Record;
• High School Diploma or GED;
• US Citizen.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or other related fields;
• Must have a clean criminal & driving record;
• Strong customer service skills;
• Strong attention to detail;
• Must be able to work weekends and/or holidays;
• Must be computer literate;
• Must have the ability to read and understand written instructions;
• Must have the ability to generate clear, concise, and accurate reports and other written correspondence.
