Unarmed Security Officer – Shopping Center Patrol (Full-Time, Lakewood)
Location: Lakewood, CO (Shopping Center)
Schedule: Full-Time | Thursday through Monday
Shifts: Day & Swing Shifts
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour
Position Overview
Join Citadel Security USA as a Full-Time Unarmed Security Officer protecting a high-traffic shopping center in Lakewood, CO. You will conduct vehicle and foot patrols, deter unauthorized activity, respond to incidents, and ensure a safe and secure environment for tenants, visitors, and businesses. This is a customer-facing role requiring professionalism, attentiveness, and a strong presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Security Presence: Maintain a visible presence through patrols (vehicle/foot) to deter potential threats
- Access Control: Monitor entrances and ensure only authorized personnel access restricted areas
- Customer Engagement: Provide excellent customer service while assisting patrons, tenants, and vendors
- Incident Response: Respond promptly to disturbances, suspicious behavior, and emergencies
- Reporting: Document incidents clearly and accurately for client and internal reporting
- Hazard Mitigation: Identify, assess, and communicate safety risks as needed
- Collaboration: Work professionally with property management, law enforcement, and the public
Minimum Requirements
- Must be 21 years or older
- Valid Driver's License (no permits; must have held license for at least 3 years)
- Clean MVR (no accidents or major violations in the last 3 years)
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and urinalysis (site-dependent)
- Must have a smartphone and active email for scheduling and reporting
- Must be physically able to patrol on foot or in a vehicle, stand/sit for long periods, lift 50 lbs, and work in various weather conditions
- English proficiency required; Spanish is a plus
$20 - $20 an hour
