WHAT WE DO

To put it simply, Select Bankcard enables its partners to offer payments acceptance (such as credit cards, debit cards, ACH, and gift cards) to its clients. Select Bankcard consolidates all payment relationships, products, and functions into a single solution. Partners use Select Bankcard to deliver robust payments services to their own clients while accessing significant payment revenue and without distracting themselves from their core competencies. Using Select Bankcard, partners avoid the burden and cost of establishing and managing contracts with various payment providers, performing multiple technical integrations, and piecing together complex payment operational processes.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The Underwriter position offers an annual salary of $40,000 to $45,000 depending on qualifications and academic background. WORK DESCRIPTION

Underwriting is specifically focused on reviewing and approving merchant account applications. Duties will include analyzing risk factors on the application, credit reports, and business financial statements using the guidelines provided by the company. The information gathered will aid in the decision to approve or decline the applications. This role will work full-time in our Lehi, Utah office Monday through Friday. Other responsibilities include:

• Prioritizing applications based on type, partner, or urgency
• Managing time spent on applications while ensuring quality
• Following up with applications that are stagnant
• Reaching out to our partners when more documents are needed to complete underwriting
• Organizing, modifying, and uploading application documents in various forms (PDF, Excel, Word, jpeg, etc.)
• Inputting and communicating data on applications with great accuracy via website, email, phone, etc.
• Recommending accounts for approval

QUALIFICATIONS

• One year merchant services or similar experience preferred
• Detail oriented
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Effective time management
• Positive and resilient
• Prior experience with any of the following is a plus:
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Business financial statements
  • Credit reports
  • Underwriting
  • Risk analysis
