Position Function:

Primary Accountabilities:
Team Focused Performance:
Assists the Team by making timely, accurate, and balanced underwriting decisions. Researches thoroughly, participates in credit discussions, and recommends loan structures. Underwrites the CAM clearly and concisely.
Assists the Team in promptly performing initial analysis using financial statements and other self-directed research, including generating cash flow spreadsheets and spreads.
Assists the Team in promptly reviewing documentation and following through to booking.
Assists the Team by driving and steering the request from origination to booking.
Communicates actively and effectively.
Assists the Team by being curious, inquisitive, and a self-learner.
Assists the Team by working well with other areas of the Bank.
Financial Results:
Assists the Team to reach or exceed its financial goals.
Constantly seeks opportunities.
Relationship Banking:
Assists the Team by building trust with clients. Be attentive, anticipates, over-delivers, communicates frequently and satisfies requests promptly.

Assists the Team by understanding policies and procedures.
Assists the Team by minimizing ticklers, exceptions, and delinquencies.
Assists the Team by identifying loan re-grades promptly.

Assists the Team in participating in Bank functions and training sessions.
Assists the Team and community by participating in non-profits and other community endeavors.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field required.
Experience:
Underwriter I:

1+ years of commercial credit

analysis/underwriting

or corporate and commercial lending experience required.

Underwriter II:

2+ years of commercial credit

analysis/underwriting

or corporate and commercial lending experience required.

Underwriter III:

3+ years of commercial credit

analysis/underwriting

or corporate and commercial lending experience required.

Senior Underwriter:

4+ years of commercial credit

analysis/underwriting

or corporate and commercial lending experience required.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
Must be able to perform light physical work and to move or lift items including but not limited to boxes, files and papers up to 20 pounds unless otherwise as indicated.
Must be able to operate and proficiently use standard office equipment, including phone, copier, personal computer and/or other work related mechanical or electronic devices and applications.
Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with all internal and external customers. Must also be able to hear sufficiently to engage in daily discussions and interactions.
Must be able to read and understand bank-related documents.
Must be able to work in a conventional office setting, involving sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods of time. Must also be able to adapt to different work environments as needed to perform the job.
