Underwriting associate

salary: $15.08 - $15.08 per hour

work hours: 8 AM - 4:30 PM

Responsibilities

Is accountable for performance of duties following established procedures to provide the most consistant, prompt and accurate policy underwriting possible in accordance with company guidelines.
Responsible for promptly and accurately reviewing applications and making sound business decisions with regard to company guidelines
Maintaining a high levelof current technical knowledge necessary for accurate, timely and efficient underwriting
Assist new underwriters and other office staff learning underwriting policies and procedures
Maintain the highest level of customer service skills
Maintain schedules and work well with others
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work with little supervision and to act independently
Excellent telephone manner and ability to make routine decisions and recognize situations requiring management involvement
Knowledgable of Insurance Underwriting preferred
