MGIS is Hiring: Group Underwriter – Life & Disability

In this role, you’ll evaluate and price new and renewal Life and Disability business, collaborate with internal and external partners, and help shape the growth of a profitable, persistent block. We’re looking for someone who’s confident in reviewing and assessing risk, strong in Excel, and thrives in a collaborative, high-performing environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Analyze and price group Life and Disability benefits for new and renewing clients
• Partner with sales teams and carrier reps to develop competitive, profitable proposals
• Use your underwriting expertise to support sustainable growth and innovative pricing strategies

What You Bring:

• 3–4 years of group underwriting experience (Life & Disability preferred)
• Experience with professional group disability is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred
• Strong decision-making, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to obtain Life & Health license within six months of hire
