Underwriting Supervisor, Personal Lines

As an Underwriting Supervisor, you'll help shape underwriting strategy, drive portfolio performance, and lead a high-performing team that directly impacts the company's growth and profitability.

What You'll Do

• Partner with leadership to develop and enhance underwriting programs, products, pricing, and coverage strategies


• Analyze market trends, agency performance, and underwriting results to recommend profitable business actions


• Review complex referrals, renewals, and escalated underwriting decisions while ensuring adherence to company guidelines


• Lead the development of underwriting procedures, manuals, and workflow improvements to enhance operational effectiveness


• Support system enhancements, testing initiatives, and continuous process improvement efforts


• Coach, mentor, and develop underwriting staff while promoting quality, consistency, and performance excellence

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience


• 5+ years of P&C policy-level underwriting experience


• 3+ years of direct or indirect leadership experience


• Strong knowledge of personal lines underwriting, risk selection, and insurance/reinsurance structures


• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound underwriting decisions


• Strong communication and relationship-building skills across internal and external partners
