Unit Clerk Nurse Aide - 2 E Telemetry

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Successful completion of a Nurse Aide training program, or 6 months experience as a Nursing Assistant in a Healthcare facility, or completion of fundamentals if enrolled in an Accredited School of Nursing program
• BLS Certification
• Knowledge of keyboard/computer
• Data entry experience
• Medical terminology knowledge

Preferred:

• Successful completion of a Nurse Aide training program
• Current State of Michigan CNA certification

Daily Work Times: 6\:30pm-7am
Shift\: Nights
Scheduled Bi-Weekly Hours: 48

Position Summary\: 
Under the direct supervision of a Nurse, contributes to the delivery of patient-centered care through\: Performance of selected day-to-day patient care activities.  Maintenance of an environment that is functionally and aesthetically conducive to patient well-being.  Demonstrates unit/area-designated competencies.  Interacts with patients considering their developmental, age-specific, and cultural spiritual preferences. 

Responsibilities:

1. Performs specific patient care interventions as delegated by the RN in effort to identify/attain treatment goals.
2. Delivers compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
3. Provides physical support for patients with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, showering, feeding, dressing, getting out of bed, using the toilet, walking, standing or exercising. 
4. Ensures compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
5. Maintains safe and clean working environment and protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control, hazardous waste and other policies and protocols.
6. Performs other related job duties as requested.
