Description

Camp Gundalow, in Greenland NH, is seeking an experienced youth development professional for our opening of LIT/CIT Unit Leader for the summer 2025 season. If you are looking for a fulfilling summer job where you can lift up others in your community and cultivate positive culture change – this is the opportunity for YOU!

Our camp, a traditional summer day camp serves youth ages 5-13 while coaching campers to build relationships, try new things, make memories, and ensure camper safety all while having fun and acting as positive role models. We strive to build supportive and empowering teams to help all team members show up as their best and most authentic selves, so that you can learn, grow and thrive during your tenure at the Y.

The LIT/CIT Unit Leader plans and implements our Leaders in Training and Counselors in Training programs that are offered to teens ages 14 – 15 years old. These life-changing programs support youth during a crucial time in their development by providing positive role models, facilitating skill building, and challenging them to grow into today and tomorrow’s leaders for their communities.

Additional Responsibilities:

- Build positive nurturing relationships with teens and their parents

- Build cooperative relationships with coworkers and supervisors

- Engage with youth in a way that fosters Character building

- Uphold the YMCA values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility and Courage

Qualifications:

- Minimum of three years’ progressive experience working with teens in a programmatic or development-focused environment

- College credits focused on youth development preferred

- Must be available to attend camp trainings before and during camp season

- Able to bring a patient, caring, responsible, flexible and positive attitude to work

Position Specifics:

- Camp season runs 6/19/25 through 8/25/25 and must be able to work a majority of the camp weeks.
