Upholstery Frame Carpenter

Job Description:
Briley's Upholstery Shop is looking for an experienced woodworker to join our team. We are an upholstery shop with a heavy emphasis on custom upholstered furniture. We have a history of providing the highest quality and craftsmanship to our clients.

Responsibilities / Tasks:
· Reading construction drawings
· Operate various hand tools and woodworking equipment
· Cutting wood to assemble and prepare for upholstery
· Apply stain on visible areas of furniture such as feet or legs
· Assist with installation and tasks at job sites
· Communicate and teach shop procedures to others
· Comply with safety regulations and shop rules
· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work space

Qualifications:
· Good woodworking skills with an emphasis on upholstery frames a plus
· Knowledge of equipment and proper maintenance procedures
· Experience with stains
· Quality and production focused
· Attention to detail
· Ability to work well with others and to take direction
· Ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality
· Physically fitness, including but not limited to being able to lift 50+ lbs
· Ability to teach others and share skills
· Must be self motivated and reliable

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25-$30.00 per hour

Benefits: Paid time off

Schedule: 8 hour shift, Monday to Friday

Driver's License: Required
