We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant OR Limited X-ray Tech/Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care in an outpatient setting, assisting with various medical procedures and ensuring a smooth workflow within the clinic. This role requires strong clinical skills, a compassionate approach to patient interactions, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients for adverse reactions
- Perform vital sign checks, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiratory rate
- Take high-quality X-rays images
- Administer inhalation, SQ and IM medications
- Maintain accurate patient records, including coding for billing purposes
- Check eligibility for insurances, understand billing
- Compliant in injection of medication, POC testing, urine analysis
- Able to multitask in a team player environment
- Ensure compliance with all health regulations and maintain a clean and organized workspace
Requirements
- Licensed as limited X-ray Tech
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required
- Prior experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in medication administration and understanding of medical coding practices.
- Experience with X-ray procedures is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of vital signs assessment techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with strong patient interaction skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
