Job Description - Urgent Care - NP/PA

JOB OVERVIEW

• Job Title: NP/PA – Urgent Care

• Job Type: Locum Tenens

• Location: Erie, PA | Natrona Heights, PA

• Service Setting: Outpatient

• Coverage Type: Clinical Only

• Coverage Period: November 1, 2025 – Ongoing (Natrona Heights) | November 15, 2025 – Ongoing (Erie)

• Clinical Shift Schedule: Mon – Sun, 8a – 8p

COVERAGE DATES

• Erie: Starting November 15, 2025

• Natrona Heights: Starting November 1, 2025

PATIENT INFORMATION

• Patient Demographics: All ages

• Patient Volume/Census: 3–4 patients per hour

• Case Mix: Cold/flu symptoms, rashes, abrasions, lacerations, sprains, minor burns, orthopedic procedures (e.g., splinting), wound care, suturing, I&Ds, X-rays, EKGs, drawing blood

FACILITY INFORMATION

• Erie Site – Travel Between Sites: Erie & Meadville (within 30 miles)

• Natrona Heights Site – Travel Between Sites: Natrona Heights, Tarentum, Allison Park, and Ross Township (within 30 miles)

• EMR System: Epic

• Support Staff Available: Medical Assistants, Radiology Technicians

• Specialty Backup Available: Remote physician available for escalation

• Reason for Coverage: Team Growth

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

• Hospital Privileges Required

• Temporary Privileges Available

• Credentialing Timeline: 90 days

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

• Suturing, Wound Care, I&Ds

• Splinting

• X-rays, EKGs

• Drawing Blood, IVs, Injections

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Licenses: Active Pennsylvania License

• Board: Board Certified NP or PA

• DEA: Active DEA

• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS

• Experience: Minimum 2 years in urgent care or 1 year in emergency medicine

• Other Qualifications: Willingness to work independently, NPDB self-query (within 30 days)
