US Contract Litigator - Fully Remote

Position: US Contract Attorney — Federal Litigation
Type: Contract
Compensation: $100–$120/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 30–40 hours total

Role Responsibilities

• Evaluate motion briefs by reading two for the same case and selecting the stronger one with clear reasoning.
• Score each brief on defined quality dimensions to ensure high standards.
• Annotate brief PDFs inline, flagging legal, factual, citation, and drafting errors.
• Complete all reviews as per requirements to maintain consistency.
• Attend a short onboarding session before kickoff to align with project goals.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Active bar membership in at least one US state.
• 3+ years of US litigation practice with substantial federal court experience.
• Experience drafting or opposing motions in federal court.
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Clear writing skills and attention to detail.

Preferred

• 2+ years of experience at an AmLaw 100 firm.
• Prior work on legal AI projects with Mercor.
• Experience in data annotation, AI evaluation, or legal-benchmarking.
