Used Car Acquisition Manager

Middletown Chevrolet is seeking an experienced Used Car Acquisition Manager to join our team. This key role focuses on sourcing high-quality pre-owned vehicles directly from our service drive and customer base. The ideal candidate has a strong background in vehicle appraisals, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to acquire inventory efficiently and profitably.

Responsibilities:

• Proactively approach service drive customers to appraise their vehicles.


• Make outbound calls to current and previous customers with appraisal and purchase offers.


• Accurately assess vehicle condition and market value.


• Negotiate fair purchase prices to acquire inventory.


• Collaborate with the sales and inventory teams to meet monthly acquisition goals.


• Maintain accurate and organized records of all appraisals and acquisitions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of automotive experience 


• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to accurately evaluate vehicle condition.


• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.


• Knowledge of current market values, appraisal tools, and inventory trends.


• Strong work ethic and customer-focused attitude.


• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
