  Average Earnings: $5,000 – $10,000 per month based on performance

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Used Car Buyer and Used Car Acquisitions Manager to oversee our pre-owned vehicle operations. This position is responsible for sourcing, pricing, marketing, and managing retail and wholesale inventory. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in used vehicle acquisition, appraisal strategies, and reconditioning processes along with the ability to make smart, timely decisions that drive profitability and maintain inventory turn.

This is a key leadership role within the dealership, and we are looking for someone who can lead by example, communicate effectively, and deliver consistent results.

Responsibilities

  Manage the full life cycle of the used vehicle inventory, from acquisition to sale

  Use Accutrade and auction platforms to source inventory strategically

  
  


• 
  

  Conduct vehicle appraisals with accuracy and market awareness

  
  


• 
  

  Oversee reconditioning workflow to ensure vehicles are retail-ready quickly and efficiently

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain competitive pricing through market analysis and forecasting

  
  


• 
  

  Track wholesales and aged units while minimizing depreciation loss

  
  


• 
  

  Work closely with vendors, sales leadership, accounting, and service management

  
  


• 
  

  Develop advertising and merchandising strategies to maximize visibility and market demand

  
  


• 
  

  Coach and support sales staff on used inventory product knowledge and selling strategies

  
  


• 
  

  Uphold dealership culture, ethical standards, and customer satisfaction expectations

  
  

Qualifications

• 
  

  2+ years of experience managing used vehicle operations in a franchised dealership setting

  
  


• 
  

  Proficiency in Accutrade or equivalent appraisal/acquisition platforms

  
  


• 
  

  Strong understanding of auctions, reconditioning cost management, and inventory aging control

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent negotiation and forecasting skills

  
  


• 
  

  Computer and CRM/DMS proficiency required

  
  


• 
  

  Strong leadership presence with the ability to communicate and collaborate across departments

  High ethical standards and a customer-first mindset
