Position Overview

As the Used Car Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing our used vehicle inventory across three franchises, and ensuring top-tier customer satisfaction. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, a deep understanding of the used car market, and a passion for the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  

  Manage used vehicle inventory, pricing, merchandising, and reconditioning

  
  


• Develop relationships with key buyers in the automotive market, to increase wholesale opportunities


• 
  

  Appraise, and inspect, all potential trade in vehicles and outside vehicle purchases

  
  


• Work with team members to acquire pre-owned vehicles outside the dealership


• 
  

  Meet dealership turn and profitability goals 

  
  


• Oversee wholesale units


• 
  

  Monitor market trends and adjust pricing as required 

  
  


• 
  

  Work directly with assistant used car manager to ensure department success

  
  


• Work with team to implement ideas and processes, to ensure continued growth of the department

Qualifications

• 
  

  Must have a minimum of 3 years previous experience as a Used Car Manager or Automotive Sales Manager 

  
  


• 
  

  Deep understanding of used car inventory management, and all associated processes

  
  


• Basic working knowledge of appraisal tools


• 
  

  Excellent communication and customer service skills

  
  


• Good organization skills


• 
  

  Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
