Salary: $46,000 - $149,000 annually   

Mercedes-Benz of Tacoma is looking for a skilled and motivated Used Car Automotive Technician to join our dedicated team. As part of our used car department, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that each pre-owned vehicle meets our high standards of safety, performance, and reliability.

What We’re Looking For:

• Prior experience as an automotive technician; ASE certifications are a strong plus.
• Experience with pre-owned vehicles and multi-point inspections.
• Familiarity with European luxury brands like Mercedes-Benz is preferred but not required.
• A detail-oriented approach to diagnosing and repairing a wide variety of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Strong communication skills to clearly relay repair findings and recommendations.

Your Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate and efficient work as specified on repair orders.
• Conduct multi-point inspections and reconditioning work on pre-owned vehicles.
• Use diagnostic tools and test-drive vehicles to identify root causes of mechanical issues.
• Repair and maintain vehicle systems including:
  • Engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, electrical, HVAC, and more.
• Communicate findings with Service Advisors to inform customers and suggest additional repairs if needed.
• Complete warranty and reconditioning work to manufacturer standards.

Time Off & Holidays

Paid Time Off (PTO):

                           10+ years: 2.30 hours per 40 hours worked

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• ASE certifications are ideal.
• Strong automotive background
• Ability to communicate effectively with others.
