Used Car Technician Top Pay Available

Ron Carter Dodge is seeking an experienced and motivated Used Car Technician to join our service team. The Used Car Technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing pre-owned vehicles to ensure they meet Ron Carter Dodge’s quality and safety standards before being sold to customers.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough mechanical and safety inspections on used vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns.
• Complete maintenance services including oil changes, brake repairs, fluid services, belts, hoses, batteries, and other necessary repairs.
• Inspect and repair suspension, steering, cooling, exhaust, and air-conditioning systems.
• Perform pre-delivery inspections and ensure vehicles are retail-ready.
• Identify additional repairs and communicate findings to the service or used-car management team.
• Use diagnostic equipment and manufacturer service information to accurately troubleshoot vehicle concerns.
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow dealership safety procedures and manufacturer repair guidelines.
• Document repairs and services accurately.
• Work effectively with service advisors, parts personnel, managers, and other technicians.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive technician experience preferred.
• Experience working on a variety of makes and models is a strong plus.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical problems.
• Basic understanding of automotive diagnostic equipment and scan tools.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced dealership environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• ASE certifications are preferred but not required.
