Job Description - Utility Lead Sales Engineer

Develop and execute sales plans to meet performance expectations and requirements Prepare sales presentations to create product understanding and awareness Build relationships with key customers and distribution partners to enhance long-term business prospects Work with factories to resolve technical issues while working with customers to resolve quality issues Assist the team to develop a coordinated sales effort while keeping management informed of market conditions Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution Minimum five (5) years of electrical industry sales/marketing and/or electrical engineering experience Possess a valid driver's license No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of Grapevine, TX; San Antonio, TX or Austin, TX to be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Sales experience within the utility market, inclusive of transmission and distribution or generation Channel management experience Project management experience Experience working with consulting engineers Position Criteria: Possess excellent communication skills Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future Ability to respond to a variety of circumstances while continuing to demonstrate superior selling skills for important customer services and applications Experience with Microsoft software and Salesforce software Experience managing channel partners Strong drive for results and self-motivated Solid business acumen and decision-making skills Ability to travel 30-60% (primarily local customer travel within assigned territory) Knowledge of competitor products and channels in the utility industry Project management skills Ability to provide technical solutions built around customer needs Time management skills Possess negotiating skills while understanding and using techniques needed to close orders Experience with preparing sales proposals that meet customer expectations Experience utilizing value-added selling techniques Strong work ethic, competitiveness, willingness to learn and adept at building relationships Understanding of the utility segment and customers with an emphasis on TD
