Position Summary:

RLM Underground seeks an organized and detail-oriented Utility Locates Specialist to join our team in Springfield, KY. This is a FT, office/desk job! This position is responsible for submitting large quantities of 811 utility locating requests for our construction projects in multiple states. Utility locating requests include significant follow-up. You will work closely with our Construction Managers to ensure tickets are maintained and valid throughout the course of each project. Our Construction Managers rely on our locates to proceed with any work in the field, as this position drives the production of the company. 

Your responsibilities will include but may not be limited to:

• Online training for utility portal request submission
• 811 utility locating request submission via phone or online
• Extension of tickets online &/or by phone
• Maintaining a fluctuating and reliable project calendar 
• Assisting in the escalation of non-responses from utilities
• Collaboration with multiple Construction Managers 
• Continual communication and follow-through on all tasks

Job Type: Full time, direct hire

Pay Rate: $17-$20 per hour

Requirements

Qualifications:

• 811 Utility locate submission experience is a bonus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Be able to learn and adapt to new software systems
• Organized, self-reliant, proactive and detail oriented
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a bonus
