Job Summary:
This position is responsible for working on patient meal assembly area, washing patient and cafeteria dishes, remove garbage from department, and is responsible for sweeping and mopping kitchen area. Position also responsible for picking up dirty patient trays from nursing floors and working with others within Food and Nutrition Services department to provide outstanding quality food and service to patients. Rotating Schedule Monday - Sunday
Essential Function
Nutrition Utility Worker performs food service delivery and sanitation work within a hospital setting.
Work involves assistance to cooks, dieticians and other personnel in performing a variety of patient, cafeteria and catering food preparation, service and sanitation duties.
Employees in this classification are required to observe established sanitary standards in the housekeeping of the work area in the cleaning of related equipment utensils and in personal hygiene.
Work is performed under the general supervision of cooks, dieticians or other supervisory personnel who inspect work in progress and review results obtained.
