About the Opportunity
DMI, LLC is seeking a UX Architect to join us.
Duties and Responsibilities:
UX Analysis
Client projects often begin with user analysis and research. UX consultants at DMI are expected to facilitate workshops, lead focus groups, conduct user interviews, determine information architecture, and otherwise build user-centered design requirements. Analysis activities may include card sort exercises and developing personas. These research and definition efforts help lay the groundwork for a successful design phase. Ability to produce the following deliverables is expected:
Design Strategy Summary
Card Sort Analysis
Information Architecture Documentation
User Interviews/Observation Summary
Heuristics Evaluation
Personas (Task, Environment, and User Profiles)
Usability Tests and Documentation
UX Design
UX consultants are expected to exhibit strong design skills, informed by user needs and driven by creativity. UX designers kick off an iterative design process by leading ideation and whiteboarding sessions. This role is focused on combining user research with graphic design principles (e.g. color theory, typography, and layout). Understanding interaction design and how to integrate a client’s brand are integral during the development of both low-fidelity wireframes and high-fidelity designs. Ability to produce the following deliverables is expected:
Low-fidelity wireframes
Low-fidelity prototypes
High-fidelity design comps based on existing design standards, and be able to support the creation of design directions.
Qualifications
Education and Years of Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Computer Graphics, HCI, Computer Science, New Media or related field
Required and Desired Skills/Certifications:
More HCD (Human-Centric Design) experience over UI/UX design
Previous federal experience
Expert-level experience in Figma creating designs and prototypes
Strong understanding of interaction design
Ability to articulate creative concepts to team members and clients
Passion for user experience and usability
Creative thinking and communication skills
Proven talent for creating fresh, unique and professional designs
Min Citizenship Status Required: Must be a U.S. Citizen
