Our client is a Fortune 500 multi-national technology company headquartered in Menlo Park, CA.
Summary:
A successful Quantitative User Experience Researcher with our client must be able to work with minimal supervision on multiple concurrent projects. They must have a deep understanding of quantitative (survey) design and analysis, and be able to create compelling insights and written/visual narratives from data. Finally, they must have experience in a product-related environment to link insights to business outcomes, and be able to effectively manage projects with clear communication and documentation. For this role, experience in the R programming language is required.
Description:
Design highly complex surveys on how people interact with our clients products, including sampling and weighting approaches
Manage internal and external partner/vendor relationships to keep all aspects of large-scale projects on track
Design and execute quality control protocols of survey data during fielding
Analyze large-scale survey and potentially behavioral data sets
Create charts, decks, and notes from analysis, weaving together multiple strands of data into compelling narratives
Collaborate closely with other researchers, designers, product managers, data scientists, marketing managers and engineers across several different teams across the company to ensure that insights result in business outcomes
Minimum Qualifications
BA/BS degree in a quantitative field, particularly a field related to human behavior (e.g. Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, etc.)
5-10 years of experience in a product/user research setting
Exceptional quantitative research and statistical skills, including survey design and sampling, weighting, descriptive statistics, and hypothesis testing
Fluency in R for statistical analysis is required (cannot substitute another programming language)
Excellent data visualization skills
Ability to create clear and compelling insights and narratives from data
Ability to meet ambitious deadlines and deliver high-quality work on schedule, including quickly turning around study plans and reports
Ability to collaborate actively as part of a cross-functional project team
Key Projects/Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Tracking surveys - data visualization and data analysis (making charts, graphs, slides)
Mainly help manage vendor work and tracking surveys
Data analysis
Data visualization (compare data)
Setting up meetings, documentation, action items.
Nice-to-have Skills:
Vendor management experience
Familiar with python
Link outcomes to business decisions
