Position Summary: 

Cinterra is looking for experienced Vacuum Truck Drivers/Operators who will drive and operate vacuum trucks to perform verification (daylighting) of existing utilities on/off road, trenchless excavation for utility construction, drill mud transport & vacuum truck support for HDD and construction projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
• Supplying a safe, effective and professional service to our clients,
• Operating vacuum trucks or trailers,
• Completing tasks associated with vacuum truck excavation, trenching and shoring.
• Ensuring the job site placement of the truck is safe, stable and secure.
• Wearing all proper PPE once you step out of the truck.
• Cleaning the truck upon completion of the job.
• Completing all required paperwork on a daily basis.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent (required).
• Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement is (required).
• Minimum 6 months of hydrovac experience is required, 1 year is preferred.
• Experience with Vactor, Super Products and GAPVAX and Vermeer vac trailers/ trucks.
• Trenching and excavation experience is a plus.
• Ability to travel, as needed.
• Ability to be on-call for emergency response work.

Physical Requirements:  

• Ability to lift and carry heavy materials, tools, and equipment (up to 50 pounds or more). 
• Must be able to traverse irregular and steep terrain. 
• Endurance to perform physical tasks throughout the workday, including bending, stooping, kneeling, and standing for extended periods. 
• Agility and flexibility to navigate construction sites and access work areas, including climbing ladders and scaffolding. 
• Must be able to position one-self to work in confined spaces such as trenches, pits, manholes, and tunnels. 
• Must be able to wear personal protective gear most of the day. 
• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions. 
• Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
