Valet Parking Attendant

Position: Valet, PRN 

Schedule: Days vary, typically 20 hours per week (Mon-Fri 4:30 - 8:30pm, every other Saturday 4:30pm-8:30pm and every other Sunday 10:30am-2:30pm).

Pay: $15/hour

Location: Charlotte, NC

Position Summary:

The Cypress of Charlotte is recruiting for a hospitality focused Valet Parking Attendant to join our team! Our Valet Parking Attendants are responsible for maintaining a superior level of quality service and cleanliness at all times in addition to parking resident vehicles, greeting residents and guests, and performing transportation duties in a safe and efficient manner.    

Primary Responsibilities:

• Efficiently performs pick-up and delivery of members for all scheduled campus activities where transportation is needed in a warm and safe manner.


• When vehicles arrive will open doors and greet members and guests by name.


• Carefully help members and guest who need assistance. Retrieve/Replace walkers, wheelchairs, etc., and assist when a need is perceived.


• Maintain the cleanliness of the Cypress vehicles, inside and out.


• Maintain all equipment and supplies in proper condition.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a valid driver license and maintain a "clean" driving record.


• Must have valid driver’s license and maintain “clean” driving record.


• Previous Valet experience preferred.


• Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend written and oral instructions in English.


• Ability to fully comprehend others and communicate in a respectful, understanding, and empathetic manner demonstrating tolerance and exemplary customer service.


• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted.


• Exposure to weather elements e.g., rain, cold, heat, etc.


• Frequently must be able to get in and out of automobiles and drive short distances for resident pick-up and deliveries.


• Must be able to continuously walk or jog on a hilly plane to park and retrieve vehicles.
