Validation Analyst

Overview: SpendMend® works exclusively with hospitals, healthcare systems, and higher education organizations. We offer a unique suite of recovery audit, telecommunications, and consulting services. 

The Validation Analyst position will work directly with the Shared Services Supervisor with the focus on data review and efficiency. 

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Work closely with the Shared Services Supervisor
• Scrub and review duplicate payments, returns, unhighlighted, crossovers and subtypes
• Ensure working items are pulled into tracker properly
• Review tags for errors made within the department
• Review vendor call sheets for duplication and potential
• Review hands off list and remove vendors from working potential
• Troubleshoot problems and involve IT when needed
• Effectively communicate data issues with Job Supervisors/Managers
• Maintain an effective working relationship with the Operations staff and IT
• Possess a detailed understanding as well as the ability to execute responsibilities of the scrub positions
• Actively participate in team meetings
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Shared Services Supervisor
• Scrub pricing data and review invoices for valid potential
• Scrub cash discount data and review invoices for valid potential

Skills: The individual must have excellent written and verbal English communication skills to interact with vendors and internal staff. The individual must be professionally minded; well organized; self-directing; possess excellent communications and interpersonal skills and be a highly motivated team player. The individual must be prepared to commit the time and resources necessary to successfully obtain the desired results of the position. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
