Eaton\u2019s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor. This position will be located at our Bethel, CT facility.\n\n \nThe Manufacturing Supervisor will lead the assembly and test operations for direct and indirect employees, and drive continuous improvements in production, quality, and safety while utilizing the framework of the Eaton Business System (EBS). This position plays a key role in the site Lean Council, Operations BOS (Business Operating System) team, and leadership for several High Performance Work Teams (HPWTs). The person in this position will direct the daily activities of a manufacturing team and develop strategic plans to guide continuous improvement activities within their assigned departments.\n\n \nThe expectation for work hours in this role is a minimum of 45 per week and at a minimum, work the hours of 6:45 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. \n\u200b\n\nThe expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year. \n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\n\u2022 Oversee and lead all activities associated with manufacturing and production of deliverable product to meet customer expectations. \n\u2022 Monitor and manage direct and indirect resources in the assignment of work responsibilities, development, and alignment of resources to load. \n\u2022 Champion a culture of change through the framework of HPWTs. \n\u2022 Drive continuous improvement through the use of EBS, BOS, Lean, and HPWTs. \n\u2022 Champion the implementation of Lean activities to eliminate waste within key processes. \n\u2022 Achieve key Balanced Scorecard (BSC) metrics including Productivity, On-Time Delivery, Quality Leading Indicators, Cost of Non-Conformance (CONC) and Safety. \n\u2022 Effectively forecast and achieve department/Value Stream budgets. \n\u2022 Champion implementation of Eaton\u2019s Environmental, Health, \u0026 Safety system (MESH) to achieve improvement in year over year safety performance measures. \n\u2022 Train and develop team members as well as provide oversight and coaching to HPWT support/functional team members. The Value Stream Manager will coach and develop not only the direct production teams, but will have functional management responsibility for their HPWT support team members, including Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Engineers, and Planners.\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications: \n\u2022 Bachelor\u0027s degree from an accredited institution. \n\u2022 Minimum of three (3) years progressive experience in a manufacturing environment. \n\u2022 Minimum of one (1) year supervisory or project leadership experience. \n\u2022 Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future. \n\u2022 This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.\n\nPreferred Qualifications: \n\u2022 Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience in Operations/Manufacturing. \n\u2022 Minimum of two (2) years experience leading Continuous Improvement efforts or as a process engineer. \n\u2022 Experience leading direct and indirect operations team members.\n\n## Skills:\n\n\u2022 Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and implement change activities. \n\u2022 Demonstrated ability to hold self and others accountable, ensuring deployment of key initiatives. \n\u2022 Working knowledge of current manufacturing, engineering, materials management and quality assurance methods and practices. \n\u2022 Excellent written and verbal communication skills. \n\u2022 Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate employees. \n\u2022 Demonstrated ability to build positive working relationships at all levels in the organization. \n\u2022 Demonstrated results in implanting Continuous Improvement tools and Management Systems. \n\u2022 Strong data analytics skills. \n\u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools. \n\u2022 Advanced working knowledge in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.\n\n#LI-CB3\n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
