Valve, Pump & Small Engine Repair Technician

Job Summary: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced repair technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting and repairing valves, pumps, and other small engines. This includes refurbishing used items, accurately diagnosing repair needs, and delivering high-quality repair services for both in-house and customer needs.

Work Environment: Work is performed in a warehouse/industrial retail location. The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles in an environment that can range from quiet to loud. 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostics, refurbishment, and repairs on valves, pumps, and small engines, including but not limited to chainsaws, string trimmers, and comparable equipment.
• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of serviced equipment, pursuing additional certifications and training as required.
• Conduct thorough diagnostic assessments to identify mechanical issues and provide precise, well-informed repair recommendations.
• Complete all tasks with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to safety standards.
• Accurately document work performed, ensuring legible and complete records for both customer reference and internal use.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment to support equipment longevity and operational safety.
• Collaborate effectively with team members across various departments to enhance customer service and ensure seamless workflow.
• Provide cross-functional support by assisting in other departments as needed, including sales and warehouse operations, to ensure overall team efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Experience, Education and Certifications Preferred: 

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, with a preference for experience in small engine systems
• Proficiency in the safe and effective use of hand tools and power tools
