Job Description - Vascular & Interventional Radiologist

• Shift Schedule: Mon-Fri; 7a-7p

• Call Schedule: Night & Weekend Call; Rotating

• Call Ratio: 1:6 or 1:7

• Patient Volume: Up to 25 per day

- IP: 12 per day

- Per Provider: 6-8 per day

• Phone Consults: Yes

• Admissions: Yes

• Rounding included: Yes

• Physician in Practice: 5

• Support Staff: 3 APPs

• Trauma Level: I

• Duties/Responsibilities:

- Patient history, Physical Examinations

- Ordering of Diagnostic Test

- Patient Education

- Bedside procedures and providing outpatient care

• Other Info:

- Will respond to codes

- Will not be required as backup in the ER

- Will not required to remain on site while on call

- Less than 1% of visits (outpatient) become admissions

• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered

Requirements:

• Active NC License

• BC

• BLS
